Radio-VOIP integration for Operations Control Room
Introduction:
Our digital transformation company undertook a complex project to enhance the Operations Control Room Communications for a client. The project aimed to consolidate the Cisco Voice over IP (VoIP) telephone system with Motorola radio communications, integrating a console called IP Trade. This integration allowed control room agents to seamlessly communicate on both systems simultaneously. Furthermore, we implemented a rapid instant text-to-text and text-to-speech messaging solution, crucial for emergency communication. The control room primarily communicates with train drivers, bus drivers, train stations, police, ambulance, fire trucks, and various safety and municipality agencies.
Project Objectives:
- Consolidate and streamline communication systems for more efficient operations.
- Enable control room agents to communicate effortlessly across Cisco VoIP and Motorola radio networks.
- Implement a rapid messaging solution for emergency situations.
- Enhance communication with essential stakeholders, including emergency services and transportation personnel.
- Ensure system reliability and redundancy for mission-critical operations.
